Artwork & File Guidelines
Great print starts with good artwork. Follow these guidelines when uploading your design, photograph or logo to help us produce the best possible result.
Accepted file formats
Please upload your artwork as a PNG, JPG, PDF or SVG file.
For logos, illustrations and graphics with transparent areas, a high-resolution PNG or vector file such as SVG is usually the best choice.
Image quality and resolution
For the best results, supply the highest-quality version of your artwork available.
Where possible, raster images such as PNG and JPG files should be approximately 300ppi at the intended print size. Images downloaded from websites, screenshots and images sent through messaging apps may be too small or compressed for high-quality printing.
If your image is too small for the product or print size you've selected, we'll contact you where reasonably possible before production.
Artwork checking
We check customer-supplied artwork for obvious production issues before manufacture where reasonably possible.
If we identify a problem that could significantly affect the finished product, we may contact you for a replacement file or further information.
Our artwork check is intended to identify production-related issues. It is not a proofreading service, so please check names, dates, spelling, numbers and other content carefully before placing your order.
Cropping and positioning
Products come in different shapes and proportions, so some artwork may need to be resized, positioned or cropped to suit the printable area.
Important text, logos, faces and other essential elements should not be placed too close to the edge of your design.
Where artwork requires manual positioning before production, we'll aim to preserve the important elements of your design wherever possible.
Colours
Colours displayed on phones, tablets and computer monitors can vary from the colours produced by different printing processes and materials.
We therefore cannot guarantee an exact colour match to your screen. Small differences in colour, brightness and contrast are normal when artwork is reproduced in print.
Transparent backgrounds
If you want the product itself to show around your design—for example when printing a logo onto clothing—please upload artwork with a transparent background where appropriate.
A white background in your uploaded file may be printed as part of the design.
Photographs
For photo products and wall art, upload the original, highest-resolution photograph available wherever possible.
Avoid screenshots or heavily compressed copies. The larger the product you order, the more important image resolution becomes.
Your artwork and permissions
By uploading artwork, photographs, logos or other content, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permission to use that material and to have it reproduced on the products you order.
Please do not upload material that infringes another person's copyright, trade mark or other rights, or content that is unlawful.
